The Solemn Easter Vigil at St. John’s Cathedral

Join together as St. John’s Cathedral celebrates the Solemn Easter Vigil, the Resurrection of Our Lord, Jesus Christ. Bishop Douglas Deshotel will celebrate the Easter Vigil Mass at 8:00 PM on April 11, 2020, at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in Lafayette, La.

By most ancient tradition, this is the night of keeping vigil for the Lord, in which the faithful, carrying lighted lamps in their hands, should be like those looking for the Lord when he returns, so that at his coming he may find them awake and have them sit at his table.
