Join us for a virtual cup of coffee with Aileen Bennett, a brand creating, business improving, clever thinking, staff motivating, customer-pleasing, quirky-as-they-come designer and consultant, with a head (and a heart) for business.
This Downtown Coffee Talk will be held virtually via Zoom meeting and broadcast live on the Downtown Lafayette Facebook page. You can register to attend the Zoom call on Eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/downtown-coffee-talk-with-aileen-bennett-tickets-115258735982
Aileen Bennett is a native of London, UK who has lived in Acadiana for 16 years. She is an illustrator, creative director, writer, and artist with clients across the globe. Aileen loves it when creativity solves problems and brings a new way of looking at something. She often lives at that intersection between business and creativity and loves both worlds.
Aileen’s recent illustration projects include the snowball festival in Downtown Lafayette, the menus for Tula Tacos + Amigos, the ‘paint the town’ suite for the Washington Mardi Gras. She is finishing illustrating a children’s book at the moment, along with planning some big projects.
Aileen has designed for brands across the country, and locally including Lafayette General, HomeBank, and many start-ups. Aileen is the author of two books, a weekly newspaper column, and a blog about ideas and creativity. Happily married to a Cajun, when she isn’t traveling she works from a white studio with the assistance of a white dog called Blue. She has an insatiable curiosity, bulletproof enthusiasm, and a slight obsession with surfing.
Pick up a coffee to-go from Rêve Coffee Roasters, Black Cafe, Carpe Diem! Gelato – Espresso Bar, or the Cafe at Acadiana Center for the Arts and join Downtown supporters for a fun hour of coffee and conversation.
Since this is a FREE event we’d also encourage you to donate the cost of a coffee or latte to Downtown Lafayette Unlimited (DLU), the non-profit arm of Downtown that produces events such as this, Downtown Alive!, ArtWalk Lafayette and Movies in the Parc. Donate here: downtownlafayette.org/donate
