Christmas Tree Extravaganza

The Christmas Tree Extravaganza is a major part of the Merry & Bright Downtown Christmas. A grove of live Christmas trees will be set up at the North Pole of Downtown at Parc International from December 6 through January 5. The trees will be decorated by families, businesses, organizations, and groups of friends as part of a friendly Christmas contest to see who can create the most beautifully decorated Christmas Tree in Lafayette. The decorating contest kicks off on December 7 and viewers will be able to vote for their favorite tree online and winners will be announced at the Grand Finale event on December 21st.

Online voting for the Christmas Tree decorating contest will open after the kick-off event on December 7th. Once voting begins we will post a link to our voting portal on this page and on the Merry & Bright Downtown Christmas page. The voting period ends on December 20th at midnight so don’t forget to vote for your favorite tree!

Participate in the Extravaganza

Calling all businesses, non-profits, religious organizations, service clubs, individuals/families, and neighborhoods! The Christmas Tree Extravaganza is open to anyone who wants to decorate a tree and compete in the competition. There is a $100 fee to participate which covers the cost of the tree and contributes toward keeping this new Christmas tradition around for years to come.
