On Friday, November 1st, Downtown Alive! will throw Centennial Celebration for Evangeline Maid with music by Grammy-winner Wayne Toups & Zydecajun.

Many of the festivities surrounding the Merry & Bright Christmas Downtown will be held in Parc International which will be converted into the "North Pole of Downtown" from December 6-January 5. The parc will be decorated and bedazzled with a 24-foot tall Official Christmas Tree of Lafayette, giant ornaments big enough to walk through, a live Christmas tree grove, 2,000 feet of string lights, and an assortment of other Christmas decorations.
"Zydeco Boss," Keith Frank and the Grammy-winning Pine Leaf Boys kick off Christmas at this free, family-friendly concert in Downtown Lafayette.
The official after-party of the parade will be at Parc International in Downtown. There will be holiday performances, photos with Santa, hot chocolate, adult beverages, and more activities for the whole family to enjoy.
The SOS Holiday Playathon is a fundraiser benefitting the Save Our Students Fund.
