DLU hosts a wealth of member events for the Downtown community. These events offer our members opportunities to learn about Downtown’s issues and successes, network with other local professionals, and engage with the Downtown community. These events are completely free for all DLU members to attend.
Downtown Member Events
Downtown Lunch & Learns
Downtown Lunch & Learns are recurring lunchtime events that provide opportunities for DLU members and others to stay informed on the issues facing Downtown Lafayette and engage with the leaders who can shape our district’s future. The Lunch & Learns take place in many formats from guest presentations, panel discussions, group discussions, and town hall style meetings.
Downtown Member Meet-Ups
Downtown Meet-Ups are a partnership between DLU and Opportunity Machine to create a series of happy hour events in Downtown Lafayette for local entrepreneurs, new business owners, Downtown business champions, and community members.
Attendees of Downtown Meet-Ups can:
- Hear from Downtown entrepreneurs about why they chose to locate Downtown, what opportunities and challenges they have faced, and how they are growing their business in the heart of our city.
- Create connections with local individuals and businesses and experience inclusive conversations with people from different fields of business discussing their problems and asking questions. Our hope is that mentor relationship will form through this exchange.
- Learn, socialize, network, and advocate for Downtown’s future.
