Get ready to gear up for Parish Proud Day 2023 presented by LUS in partnership with Downtown Lafayette!
Every year, Parish Proud celebrates Acadiana by picking a spot and transforming it for the good of the community. This year, we are honored that Parish Proud has selected Downtown Lafayette as the location for Parish Proud Day 2023.
Why downtown? Downtown districts are regional epicenters that reflect a city’s identity. How we perceive our downtown is how we perceive our community, city, and region.
On Saturday, September 16th, 800 volunteers will arrive in Downtown Lafayette to put all of their energy in beautification and placemaking efforts. From landscaping, painting, litter pick up, mural creations, pressure washing and more, there will be various projects taking place to enhance the appearance and functionality of Downtown Lafayette; enhancements for everyone to enjoy.
