Lafayette Parish Assessor Conrad T. Comeaux has decided to make 213 West Vermilion Street in Downtown Lafayette the new home of the Lafayette Parish Assessor’s Office. DLU invites you for dining as well as a presentation by Mr. Comeaux in the beautifully renovated space.
Conrad Comeaux was first elected as the Lafayette Parish Assessor on October 21, 1999 and began his first term on January 1, 2001. He began his sixth, and final, four-year term on January 1, 2021. Mr. Comeaux, a native of Scott, Louisiana, graduated from U.S.L. with a B.S. in Biology and Chemistry. He later earned his M.B.A. from U.S.L. and a Master of Health Administration from Tulane. He is also a Certified Louisiana Assessor with over 300 hours of coursework. Prior to being elected to the Assessor’s office, Mr. Comeaux served from 1984-1996 as a member of the Lafayette Parish Council.
Currently, Mr. Comeaux is a member of the Louisiana Assessor’s Association, Louisiana Association of Business and Industry, International Association of Assessing Officers, and the Urban Land Institute.
