On Saturday, April 4th, Acadiana will celebrate the most famous Cajun sandwich for the fifth annual Acadiana Po-Boy Festival, presented by Tony Chachere’s!
The Acadiana Po-Boy Festival will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Parc San Souci in Downtown Lafayette. This free-entry, family-friendly, event will feature Acadiana’s best po-boy samples from 20 local po-boy vendors, pricing only $3 a sample! While tasting these delicious sandwiches, participants will experience an amazing local music line up: Kieth Frank, Gerald Gruenig & Gentilly Zydeco, Major Handy, The Daiquiri Queens, Homegrown Reggae, DG & The Freetown Sound, and Soul Express Brass Band! Fun for the whole family, the po-boy festival will feature pop-up shops and kids activities!
The best Acadiana restaurants in town will surely deliver their best tasting po-boys, as there will be a People’s Choice and Judge’s Choice competition! The Giant Community Po-Boy will return for the 5th year anniversary event! For those who can’t get enough, a po-boy eating competition will be held during the festival!
