The 15th Cinema on the Bayou Film Festival opens at 6:00pm on Wednesday, January 22, 2020, at the Vermilionville Performance Center, 300 Fisher Road, Lafayette, LA 70508.
During its 8-day run, the international, juried film festival, will screen nearly 200 films from across the U.S. and around the World. The films, primarily World, International and U.S. Premieres, include 40 feature-length narrative fiction and documentary films and 148 short narrative, documentary, animated and experimental films, including over 60 French language films. The Festival also will present panel discussions, music and nightly socials with directors, producers, cinematographers, distributors, actors, festival organizers and other industry professionals from L.A., New York, Austin, Portland, Chicago, Kansas City, New Orleans, Shreveport, Toronto, Montreal, Moncton, Paris, Sydney, Tokyo, Berlin and London.
In addition to the Vermilionville Performance Center, films will be screened throughout the Festival at Cite des Arts in Downtown Lafayette(
), as well as all day Sunday, Jan. 26th at the Acadiana Center for the Arts (101 W Vermillion Street), where the Festival Awards Ceremony will be held on Sunday evening.The eight-day Festival will close on Wednesday, January 29, 2020.
