Join Downtown Lafayette Unlimited for this informative Lunch & Learn led by Zimmerman/Volk Associates (ZVA) as they discuss the results of the most recent residential market study for the downtown area. Since 2008, the Downtown Development Authority has prioritized five-year updates to the residential market study, which provides direction for planning, design and policy decisions, and can assist both the public and private sectors with revenue assumptions for development proformas.
ZVA is nationally recognized as an expert on the residential market feasibility of urban development, having completed more than 650 market studies for sites ranging in size—including more than 120 studies focused on downtowns and over 125 studies supporting mixed-income housing redevelopment of public housing properties and infill development in fragile neighborhoods.
Since ZVA last conducted its study in 2017, Downtown Lafayette has realized steady growth in the number of residential living units with nearly $40 million invested in catalyst projects such as Vermilion Lofts, Lofts at the Municipal, and The Monroe Apartments—adding more than 150 residential units to the downtown area.
For this Lunch & Learn, ZVA will discuss residential development options such as reuse of existing vacant or under-utilized buildings as well as new construction ideas for the downtown area.
This event will take place at the Downtown Convention Center and is scheduled from 11:30am-1:00pm to provide adequate time for networking and dining.
We look forward to seeing you!
