Perficient is a global IT and software consulting firm with an office in Downtown Lafayette. The company currently employs 75 people in their Jefferson Street office, but recently announced plans to expand their staff with 70 new employees. The company’s Lafayette Delivery Center is part of a worldwide group of Perficient offices that delivers technical consulting solutions to leading companies. The tech company opened their Downtown office in April 2016 with plans to hire 245 employees over a five year period.
The firm will hold a recruitment event on Thursday, October 10th at their office (538 Jefferson Street) from 3:30 PM – 6:30 PM. Perficient is seeking both entry-level and experienced IT professionals to expand software development services in Lafayette. Perficient plans to fill more than 70 positions, including QA consultants, ETL/data consultants and technical consultants, including software developers and solution architects. Since the iconic Don’s Seafood in Downtown Lafayette closed in 2020, there has been a lot of curiosity about what would happen to the building. Since the 1930s, the restaurant was a staple of the district and a favorite dining destination for locals and visitors. Wonder no more.
