Downtown Lafayette Unlimited is excited to announce its return to live, in-person music and continue the 40-year tradition of Downtown Alive! DLU has joined forces with the Science Museum and University of Louisiana at Lafayette to bring back Bach Lunch as a part of the DTA! series, creating a double-header of live music on May 13th.
The Cypress Lake Quintet comprised of UL Lafayette faculty performs a wide range of jazz styles. The quintet will play some of the best-known jazz standards as well as repertoire from contemporary artists. Lucas Munce on sax, Chris Munson on drums, Paul Morton on trumpet, Bob Nash on bass, and Garth Alper on piano will be exploring these great jazz compositions through group and individual improvisations. Come and experience the group’s artistry!
In the spirit of bringing back this classic Bach Lunch event, bring your blankets and chairs to enjoy a great lineup picnic-style.
Performance starts at 12 with food vendors available at 11 for attendees to purchase lunch.
All drink concession proceeds go towards keeping the event free for everyone, so please leave your ice chest at home and keep the music alive!
Bach Lunch is brought back to Lafayette thanks to our sponsors Oats & Marino and UL Lafayette. This season of DTA! would not be possible without the continued support of our presenting sponsor Evangeline Maid.
