For Steve Oubre, Downtown is a place to be inspired – since 1979 Steve chose to open his architecture firm in the city's core, believing in its revitalization.
"I was downtown when no one believed there was a future for the place. Having studied the importance of an "urban center” and its effects on a city as a part of my architectural schoolwork , I refused to accept such a notion. ”
Steve has always believed that having a strong downtown is essential to Lafayette's continued growth, and has been contributing to its ever-changing landscape for over 30 years.
