ORGANIZATION BORN
  • Staff and operating funds created
  • Comprehensive plans start to be prepared
  • Events and festivals expand

1989-1993 REAL PLANNING YIELDS REAL PURPOSE
  • Growth Management Plan adopted by City administration and council
  • Funding commences through multiple sources
  • Projects actually begin to be programmed
1993 -
TODAY
  • Special assessment election held and approved; tax district commences in 1994
  • Supplemental services instituted
  • New marketing and promotional activities begin; events grow significantly
  • Public-private development projects launched
  • Construction occurs with implementation of Streetscape
  • The planning and development process is furthered along for other key capital projects
  • Major Facilities Come on Line via the Plan
