5^th Avenue at Downtown Alive! For UL Homecoming Pep Rally

Lafayette, La. — It's definitely a Wear Red Friday at Downtown Alive! (DTA!) for the UL Homecoming Pep Rally with 5^th Avenue at Parc Sans Souci! It was 30 years ago and 5:30 p.m. on a Fall Friday that the streets of Downtown Lafayette first came Alive! for Downtown Alive! In three decades we’ve gone from stages in the middle of the street to two beautiful parcs to the delight of generations of Acadiana crowds who come for live music and official weekend kickoff at the best price, free!

It's a Ragin' Cajuns kind of night with 5th Avenue dominating playing everything from Prince, Midnight Star and then on to high energy like Stevie B and Dino between the crowd shouting Geaux Cajuns! In front of a sea of red and white, 5^th Avenue will provide the perfect soundtrack to getting into the winning spirit at DTA! With over 100 years of combined experience, original members Tracy Menard, Tom Landry and Brent Guidry will have you reminiscing to back in the day and dancing and cheering all night long. To you, they say, "May the Funk be with you!” and Go Red!
