The Sonic Christmas Parade is one of the oldest holiday traditions in Acadiana and it marks the official arrival of Santa to Lafayette. 

This year's parade features 17 floats, 12 high school marching bands, area dignitaries and marks the official arrival of Santa to Lafayette.

This year, the parade will follow an old route that had been used for many decades. The parade begins in downtown Lafayette on Jefferson Street near the underpass, then will go to Johnston Street, East Saint Mary Boulevard, Heymann Boulevard and end at the LGMC Annex.
